FOR INDIVIDUALS

Injured Worker

If you have been injured at work and you are likely to be off work for more than a few weeks then contact Mend.  Mend specialises in helping you through the recovery process to ensure that you safely return to work.

The injured worker can:

•Choose their own Doctor AND Workplace Rehabilitation Provider (such as Mend)
•Ensure suitable duties are meaningful
•Receive treatment for their injury
•Be retrained if necessary
•Be provided with adequate information about workers compensation
 
Mend can help you with:
 
•Working with your employer, doctors and the insurance company
•Organising other services such as gym programs or hydrotherapy and other treatment options
•Making sure your workplace is safe for you to return to and that duties provided to you are suitable
•Provision of advice on other job options and organise any training you need
 
All of these services are at no cost to you
 
Mend is independent of insurance companies which ensures that you receive impartial advice. Mend is the only workplace rehabilitation provider that specialises in the construction industry and other industries, such as health care, heavy manual occupations and manufacturing. Mend is run by health professionals with extensive experience in looking after the needs of people who have been injured at work.

Allied Health Services

Mend provides Allied Health Services directly to the general public through a variety of referral methods.

Services include:
  • Driving Assessments
  • ADL/Home Assessments
  • Pain Management Coaching
  • Counselling Services for a wide range of issues

Services can be accessed  via :

Medicare 
Mend has Medicare approved registered Occupational Therapists and registered Psychologists. 

Income Protection Referrals

Mend provide a range of assessments and services for Life insurance claims with rehabilitation entitlements.

Scheme
Within the workers compensation scheme, Comcare or CTP schemes, an injured person has the right to choose their own rehabilitation provider. An injured person needs support to ensure they can achieve their goals in the recovery process. We provide a free consultation to any injured persons who would like to meet with mend to discuss their rehabilitation and requirements.

Mend collaboratively works with all stakeholders to work towards and achieve rehabilitation outcomes.


Government
Mend provides case management and occupational therapy services for self-funded clients within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

Private Clients
We assist private paying clients and can offer discounted rates for pensioners and anyone who needs a service and cannot receive funding.

Mend support and assist individuals who wish to use our services privately.  Discounted rates may be agreed on with individuals who hold a current concession card.
