14/11/2017

With summer only weeks away it is important for employers to ensure that they are protecting their employees for heat stress and sun exposure.   Workplace Health and Safety laws require an employer to provide safe working environments for their employees.    Employers have a duty of care to ensure their employees work safely and without risk to their health – this includes exposure to heat and UV radiation.

Employees also have a responsibility for their own safety and health and must follow company policies and procedures that have been put in place to protect them from heat and sun exposure.

Mend can assist employers meet their legal obligations through Heat and Sun Protection Training designed to provide onsite training for employees, managers and subcontractors to understand the principles of Heat and Sun Protection, to address safe work practices and to apply these in their workplace.

To book a training session or for further information, please contact Mend Services on 1300 176 774.

Just over a year ago Mend expanded it's services within Victoria and became a WorkSafe approved provider of Occupational Rehabilitation.

Did you know as an employer you can nominate your preferred Occupational Rehabilitation Provider?

Did you know where a worker makes no choice you can request they be referred to your preferred provider?

In the event you do not select a preferred provider, your Agent will select a provider.   As all cases/injuries are different, your Agent may not select the most suitable rehabilitation provider to manage the company's or injured worker’s needs.

Mend is an industry specialist and welcomes the opportunity to assist you with meeting your return to work obligations as an employer, and support you in facilitating the injured worker’s return to work.

To select Mend as your preferred provider for Occupational Rehabilitation services in Victoria, please refer to the attached, complete, send or email back to Mend.
