August is Tradie's National Health Month - three ways to get involved

17/8/2017

Tradies National Health Month aims to raise awareness of the health and safety risks posed to those who work in trade occupations.

While we’ve seen improvements, these professionals face some of the most severe health and safety risks of any profession.

Whether trade workers make up the majority or your workforce, or just perform occasional maintenance, almost every workforce employs manual labourers from time to time, so here are three easy ways to look after your trade workers.

1. Grab our construction and manual labourer health and safety poster pack
Building a better health and safety culture starts with informing your staff. Download our free construction and labour safety pack, tackling key risks like fatigue, faulty wires and deafness.

2. Learn more about how to promote safety amongst manual labourers
If you'd like to find out more about protecting the health of your manual labourers, start by reading our guide to safety on construction sites. Keen for more? GB Advantage has you covered with our tips for preventing sunburn amongst outdoor workers, working in noisy environments, preventing fatigue and avoiding musculoskeletal injuries.

3. Find out more about Tradies Health Month
