International Day of Mourning is observed on 28 April each year. It is a day to honour people whose lives have been lost or forever changed by simply going to work.
In NSW, a service is held at Reflection Park in Darling Harbour. People come together to share stories and show support for anyone who has suffered the loss of a partner, a parent, a child, a friend or colleague. This is not only a time to pause and remember. It is a day to reaffirm our commitment to work together, protect each other, speak up and play our role in improving workplace safety.
